Against the world’s top competitors, ToYou athletes Anna Gay and Aliaksei Zharnasek brought their best.
The 2016 Nautique U.S. Open of Water Skiing presented by Roger Dean Chevrolet saw the world’s best athletes in slalom, trick, and jump at the Ski Club of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, FL. Great water conditions set the stage U.S. Open titles followed 2016 Nautique Big Dawg World Tour Championships.
In Women’s Tricks, ToYou athlete Anna Gay (USA) followed up her world-record setting performance last week to win her second consecutive U.S. Open title, scoring 10,350 points topping fellow ToYou athlete Neilly Ross (CAN) who placed second with 9,740 points.
In Men’s Tricks, ToYou athlete and world-record holder Aliaksei Zharnasek (BLR) skied flawlessly to defend his U.S. Open title with 11,620 points.
In Men’s overall, fellow ToYou athletes, Dorien Llewellyn and Pato font claimed third and fourth respectively, turning in great performances of their own.
Preliminary rounds were held Friday, September 30th followed by the final rounds on Saturday, October 1st, headlined by the world’s top athletes, including current world-record holders Nate Smith, Erika Lang, Aliaksei Zharnasek and Jacinta Carroll, all vying for one of the most coveted titles in water skiing.
